Vehicle EV Charging
The future’s electric!
The future’s electric!Cheaper, cleaner, greener – there are many of reasons why electric vehicles are becoming more popular, for business and home use. The more they appear on our roads, the greater the need for the infrastructure of charging points and electric vehicle charging stations.
The government is right behind the use of electric vehicles, they state that by 2020, one in every five vehicles in Britain need to be electric or ultra-low emission, they have introduced a Plug-in vehicle Grant which is available to reduce the initial cost.
This provides a subsidy of:
- 35% of the cost of a car, up to a maximum of either £2,500 or £4,500 depending on the category the model belongs to (see below)
- 20% of the cost of a van, up to a maximum of £8,000
